Snorkeling at Menjangan Island
Menjangan sits inside the protected waters of West Bali National Park, where visibility reaches 30 metres and the reef walls stay healthy in a way the crowded south of Bali cannot match. Turtles, reef sharks, lionfish and clownfish are regular sightings. Trips run daily by boat from Banyuwedang Harbour, roughly 30 minutes from the island, with small groups, guides in the water alongside you, full gear included.

West Bali National Park
More than 19,000 hectares of mangrove, rainforest, savanna and coastline sit behind the shoreline, and it is the last refuge of the Bali Starling, the island's rarest bird. Deer, black macaques, wild boar and monitor lizards share the same trails. We run guided trekking, sunrise bird watching, afternoon safari, mangrove boat tours and village cycling, all led by licensed guides who grew up walking these forests.

Pemuteran and the West Bali Coast
This quiet stretch of coast is a destination rather than a stopover. Pemuteran is home to the Biorock coral restoration project, the largest artificial reef programme in Asia, and has built a global reputation for community-led, sustainable tourism. Temples, hot springs, fishing harbours and dive sites sit within a short drive of each other. We live and work along this coast, and we are glad to show you around it.

About Us
A Local Operation on the West Bali Coast
We are based in Pejarakan, on the coast road between Pemuteran and Banyuwedang Harbour, and we work with guides who grew up along this stretch of water. They learned these reefs before they ever guided on them, and they know which wall the turtles favour, how the tide runs at each site, and which trail the Bali Starling is on at sunrise.
Booking with us keeps the work on this coast. We keep groups small, maintain our own gear, and support the reef restoration efforts the area is known for.

Frequently Asked Questions
The things people ask us most before booking. Anything else, just message us.
Where are you based, and where does the boat leave from?
Our office is on Jl. Banyuwedang in Pejarakan, on the north-west coast of Bali. Boats to Menjangan Island leave from Banyuwedang Harbour, a few minutes away, and the crossing takes around 30 minutes.
Most guests stay either in Pemuteran, about fifteen minutes east, or at one of the resorts closer to Banyuwedang. We collect you from wherever you are staying.
Is hotel pick-up included?
Yes, for anywhere along this stretch of coast. That covers Pemuteran, Banyuwedang, Pejarakan and the resorts inside West Bali National Park, at no extra cost.
Coming from further away, from Lovina, Munduk, Ubud or the airport, we can arrange a transfer at a fixed price. Tell us where you are staying when you message and we will confirm the pickup time.
What can we do at Menjangan Island and in West Bali National Park?
In the water: snorkeling at Menjangan, scuba diving across eleven sites around the island, first-time dives with an instructor, and full certification courses. Visibility regularly reaches 30 metres.
On land: trekking, sunrise bird watching for the Bali Starling, afternoon safari by vehicle, mangrove boat tours and village cycling. See Marine Adventure and Land Adventure for the full range.
Is Menjangan Island suitable for families with children?
Yes. The water around the island is calm and sheltered, and the reef starts in the shallows, so children can see plenty without going deep.
Life jackets are provided for everyone and a guide stays in the water with the group throughout. Non-swimmers are welcome. If you are travelling with small children, a private boat gives you more control over timing and pace.
When is the best time to visit?
We run trips year round. Conditions are most reliable in the dry season, roughly April to November, when the water is clearest and the sea is calmest.
The wet season still has plenty of good days, and this coast sits in the rain shadow of the mountains, so it gets far less rainfall than the south of Bali. Mornings are usually calmer than afternoons whatever the month.
Are your guides experienced?
Our guides grew up on this coast and have been working these reefs and trails for years. Dive guides are certified, and land tours inside the national park are led by licensed park guides.
We keep groups small, with a maximum of ten people per boat and two divers per guide, so nobody is left to follow at a distance.
How do I book, and can I have a private trip?
Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, group size and which trip you want. We usually reply within the hour and will confirm availability, price and pickup time.
Both shared and private trips are available. Share boats leave in the morning at a set time. A private boat lets you choose your own departure and adjust the itinerary, and is worth it for families, photographers or anyone who wants a longer day.
Ready to see it for yourself?
Tell us your dates and we will do the rest. Boat, gear, park permit, guide and lunch are all arranged before you arrive.
